1.  What is CHECKLIGHT™?

CHECKLIGHT™ is a commercially available endpoint monitoring solution that leverages artificial intelligence and machine-learning to collect and analyze large volumes of log and event data created within an information system in near-real time. It provides threat monitoring and alerts, endpoint monitoring, event correlation, and incident response capabilities.

2.  Does Sera-Brynn® offer a warranty with CHECKLIGHT™ that provides protection in the event of a breach?

Yes, CHECKLIGHT™ comes with a warranty benefit that goes into effect after the software subscription is purchased and installed in accordance with the Software Subscription Service Agreement.

3.  What is the amount of the warranty?

The warranty is for reimbursement of up to $250,000 of actual loss sustained by the customer as the result of a verified security breach.

4.  How much does the warranty cost?

The warranty is included with the purchase of a CHECKLIGHT™ subscription. There is no additional charge to the customer. The warranty is a value-added benefit for the customer.

5.  If a customer suspects a breach while using CHECKLIGHT™, what should they do?

If a customer suspects they have been breached, they need to immediately call Sera-Brynn at 1-(855) 514-6048 and follow the voice prompts to “Report a Warranty Claim”. This will connect them with our live CHECKLIGHT Warranty support team who will take all the details and start the warranty claim processes.

6.  Can customers get the warranty now?

No, the warranty will not become effective until the CHECKLIGHT software is installed and successfully passes an initial systems malware scan. The scan requires a computer being on for 48 hours.

7.  What is required for a customer to receive the warranty protections?

The customer must subscribe to CHECKLIGHT™ and agree to the Software Subscription Service Agreement (SSSA) terms and conditions. The warranty will not become effective until the CHECKLIGHT™ software is installed and successfully passes an initial systems malware scan requiring 48 hours of computer up time.

8.  What security incidents are covered by the warranty?

All breaches which were not identified by the CHECKLIGHT™ software per the terms of the agreement and result in financial loss. Please read the actual terms and conditions of the agreement for details.

9.  What expenses are covered under the warranty in the event of a Security Breach?

If the CHECKLIGHT™ software fails to identify a breach per the terms of the agreement, the warranty covers on an actual loss sustained basis many of the expenses you will incur. Each situation is different, and the warranty is designed to focus on your specific financial loss needs. For a complete list of items that are covered and excluded, we recommend you review your service agreement and warranty.

10.  What time period is covered by the warranty?

The warranty is offered as part of the CHECKLIGHT™ annual subscription. You must have an active subscription to quality for the warranty.

11.  Are there configuration requirements for the CHECKLIGHT™ service?

Yes, and they are specified in the CHECKLIGHT™ Software Subscription Service Agreement (SSSA) and CHECKLIGHT™ Terms of Service documents.

12.  Are there events that are excluded from warranty coverage?

Yes, and they are specified in the CHECKLIGHT™ Software Subscription Service Agreement (SSSA) and CHECKLIGHT™ Terms of Service documents.

13.  If I suspect a breach after CHECKLIGHT™ is purchased, is it possible to get the benefits of the warranty?

Yes, if after the initial 48-hour scan of the system no security issues are identified. Pre-existing security issues are not covered and must be remediated by the purchaser. When the system passes a second scan by Sera-Brynn and no security issues are found, the CHECKLIGHT™ warranty becomes effective.

14.  Are pre-existing events covered by the warranty?

No. Pre-existing security issues are not covered, and any security issues identified by the initial CHECKLIGHT™ systems scan must be remediated by the purchaser before the warranty becomes effective.

15.  If CHECKLIGHT™ detects a breach during the initial 48-hour scan of an endpoint, is the Warranty triggered?

No, the breach would be considered a pre-existing, and ineligible. The detection of the breach, however, will allow a CHECKLIGHT™ customer the benefit of critical, time sensitive, security information about their network, and an opportunity to undertake corrective action.

16.  In the event CHECKLIGHT™ detects a breach in the first 48 hours, can Sera Brynn assist with a mitigation response?

17.  Can CHECKLIGHT™ and its warranty be offered by partners and resellers?

Yes. The warranty is included with CHECKLIGHT™, so partners and resellers can sell CHECKLIGHT™ and highlight its unique warranty protection.

18.  How does CHECKLIGHT™ impact me if I’m looking at obtaining cyber insurance?

The warranty that comes with CHECKLIGHT is NOT cyber insurance. Taking certain security precautions, including subscribing to CHECKLIGHT™, could result in better terms on cyber insurance. Check with your insurance agent, IT professional, risk manager, or attorney on the techniques required to best address cyber security for your level of exposure.

19.  What is the difference between cyber-insurance and the CHECKLIGHT warranty?

Cyber-insurance is a promise to pay subject to coverage terms and exclusions defined within the policy.

CHECKLIGHT, by comparison, is a best-in-class technology service backed with a financial guarantee, which is the warranty defined within the CHECKLIGHT™ Software Subscription Service Agreement (SSSA) and CHECKLIGHT™ Terms of Service documents.

20.  Does the CHECKLIGHT warranty replace cyber-insurance?

No, the CHECKLIGHT warranty only guarantees CHECKLIGHT will detect and alert you of a breach in near real-time. Taking certain security precautions, including subscribing to CHECKLIGHT, could result in better terms on cyber insurance through earlier identification of a security event. Check with your insurance agent, IT professional, risk manager, or attorney on the techniques required to best address cyber security for your level of exposure.

21.  Can I negotiate the terms and conditions of the warranty?

No. The warranty agreement is an element of Sera-Brynn’s insurance portfolio and applies to each CHECKLIGHT™ instance.

22.  Can I buy the warranty if I do not subscribe to CHECKLIGHT™?

No. The warranty only applies to CHECKLIGHT™.
