Sera-Brynn Attains 3PAO FedRAMP Assessor Certification, one of fewer than 50 companies to do so.
Suffolk, VA, July 25, 2017 (Newswire.com) – Sera-Brynn, LLC, a leading cyber security audit and advisory firm, announced it is now an independent, Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) under the FedRAMP program. FedRAMP, the term for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a 5-year old, U.S. government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. 3PAOs perform an assessment of CSP systems per FedRAMP requirements, provide evidence of compliance, and play an ongoing role in ensuring CSPs meet requirements.
Heather Engel, Sera-Brynn Chief Strategy Officer, stated, “As more organizations migrate to cloud-based systems, the 3PAO designation will enable Sera-Brynn to extend its service offerings and customer base. This designation demonstrates our commitment to cloud-based innovation and we are pleased to support this mission.”
FedRAMP assessors need to demonstrate knowledge of cloud based systems and rigorous assessment procedures to earn accreditation and must be ISO/IEC 17020:2012 accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
