On June 5, 2018 at 3:20 PM in Albany, NY, Sera-Brynn’s CSO will discuss critical cybersecurity compliance issues in the federal and defense contracting space — from strategic risk management to supply chain impacts.
Heather Engel, Chief Strategy Officer at Sera-Brynn, will present “Strategic Planning for Cyber Risk: Protecting Data and Meeting Regulatory Requirements with NIST SP 800-171” at next week’s New York State Cyber Security Conference.
Hosted by the New York State Office of Information Technology Services, the University at Albany’s School of Business, and The New York State Forum, Inc., the event takes place June 5 and 6 in Albany, N.Y. In her session on June 5, Ms. Engel will discuss what government requirements and the implementation of NIST SP 800-171 may mean for your organization and your supply chain. In addition, she will present practical solutions for implementing controls, and offer insight into what to expect from future regulations.
The conference presentation is available for download here.
“Government acquisition requirements affect everything from risk management to supply chain security,” said Ms. Engel. “These regulations cast a wide net and impact manufacturers, research organizations, colleges and universities, and cloud services; and the scope is expected to grow in 2018 as the government regulations expand.”
