Sera-Brynn Executive Vice President Heather Engel will be a featured speaker on cybersecurity at the annual Governor’s Summit on Rural Prosperity on Sept. 26-27 at The Tides Inn in Irvington, Va.
The two-day summit on Sept. 26-27 will feature a keynote address by Gov. Terry McAuliffe and panel discussions with subject matter experts in cybersecurity, economic development, trade policies, entrepreneurism in Virginia, infrastructure investments and Virginia’s fiscal future.
The summit is hosted by the Virginia Rural Center and has a theme of “Connecting Rural Virginia to the Global Economy.”
Engel will be on the panel on Sept. 27 that’s titled, “Cybersecurity as a growth industry for all of Virginia.” The panel is from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
It’s the second time in recent months that Engel has been a featured presenter at a state conference. In July, Engel had a seat at McAuliffe’s “Cyber Entrepreneurship Roundtable” in Richmond, Va., to share her insights at the collaboration of industry, government and academia.
Attending the Governor’s Summit on Rural Prosperity will be economic development officials, elected officials, business and community leaders, local government officials, trade organizations and policy makers from across Virginia.
