Suffolk, VA – Global Cybersecurity Firm Sera-Brynn announced today it has named retired Navy Captain, Jeff Tyer, as Director of Business Development.
“In the Navy, I learned that the more I understood and managed risks, the more my teams excelled,” Tyer said. “The same is true in business, and Sera-Brynn, like SOF, is a team of uniquely qualified specialists that helps organizations excel by mitigating cybersecurity and enterprise risk.”
During his Navy career, Tyer completed operational and staff tours on the east and west coast and five overseas assignments. He also completed two tours as commanding officer and served in executive positions where he developed interagency security plans and advised US and foreign officials.
“Sera-Brynn is comprised of former intelligence officials that have served our country in different ways and we are extremely proud of our relationship with our country’s warfighters,” said Sera-Brynn CEO, Rob Hegedus. “We’re excited to have Jeff on our team and believe he brings a wealth of experience to our client-base and provides a fresh perspective about the value Sera-Brynn can bring organizations concerned with cybersecurity.”
Tyer holds a BS in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and a MS in Defense Analysis from the Naval Post Graduate School. He and his wife Trish live in Virginia Beach and have three adult daughters and a grandson. He retired in June 2017 as a Naval Special Warfare Officer.
