Sera-Brynn Principal and Forensic Expert Terry Reece to present at regional Retail Alliance meeting on July 28 in Newport News

Sera-Brynn Principal Terry Reece will be speaking to retailers on how to manage and mitigate cyber liability at a regional Retail Alliance breakfast meeting on July 28 in Newport News, Va.

The Retail Alliance meeting will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Courtyard Marriott on St. Johns Road in Newport News. Retail Alliance, based in Norfolk, is a non-profit organization that supports retail business in Hampton Roads.

Reece will share insights on cybersecurity with retail business owners, highlighting trends in the industry affecting retailers. His presentation will include the tactics cyber thieves are using in targeting business owners, as well as strategies to incorporate to protect your business and customers.

“Whether it’s ransomware, phishing, malware or other strategies, cyber thieves are targeting small businesses and retailers,” Reece said. “We’ll give you the tools not only to protect your retail business, but also how to respond in the event of a data breach as well as the necessity of implementing risk management.”

The Retail Alliance breakfast meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month and alternate between the Peninsula and south Hampton Roads. A non-profit trade association, the Retail Alliance was founded in 1903 and is committed to promoting the healthy growth of businesses and trade.
